# Falling in love with #fallfashion

image

🍁🍂🌽I love fall! Since it is now officially fall, I am compling some fresh looks- mixing old favourites with new pieces is a great way to stay on budget. I mixed my new outfit with my old stand by JCrew jean jacket, and I am loving this casual look. Now, I need a big raked leaf pile to jump in…who’s with me?!

This time of year fills me with the same rush and excitement for “back to school clothes”, yearning to wear cozy sweaters, and desire to down pumpkin spiced lattes (soooo basic b#*ch of me!).

But this outfit is FAR from basic! Staying on trend and comfy never looked so chic. This season is filled with 70’s boho inspired looks. I am loving the high waisted and wide leg jean; it helps to balence out hips for those of us with an hourglass or pear shape. The print of this boxy, semi cropped blouse adds visual interest without overpowering the outfit. Tie a braided belt around your waist and add a flirty peep toe fringe boot and felt hat. So 70’s chic! Now boho you go!

Jeans- Gap
Shirt- Forever21
Belt- Jcrew
Hat- Hudson’s Bay

Looking Fall Fashion Fabulous! My idol…fashion blogger Chiara Ferragini- The Blonde Salad

There’s a crispness to the air here in Canada already, which is when I start to long for new fall fashion. Staying current doesn’t mean you need to be a slave to trends and go over board. Following some trends is a good idea to keep your look fresh but not all trends are for everyone and doing EVERY trend is overload.

Buy some trends to sprinkle into your staples. I recommend spending the majority of your budget on classic pieces- suits, white button downs, jeans- dark wash etc. and belts, bags and shoes, that can easily be mixed with into your wardrobe. Purchase more quality, designer brands for these staples of your wardrobe to ensure many seasons out if them. The trendy items pick up at lower cost, fast fashion stores – Zara, H&M, or Forever21.

Here’s my fav trends to try!
