Strictly Business

Black pants and blouse can be the blah corporate uniform for women- but you can have a little fun by selecting specific pieces with more visual interest- like this nearly cropped, bell sleeved, printed blouse with these tie, high-waisted, wide leg pants and chunky heels. If in a very formal office throw on a blazer and you are good to go! Buying pieces that are unique bring an otherwise blah outfit to life!

Rockin’ Pleats, Stripes & Leather 💋

You can look rocker and pretty in this pleated midi skirt, stripe shirt, and Moto jacket. I know the motorcycle jacket “trend” over skirts and dresses has been in fashion for many, many years; it is almost become a staple instead of a trend. When you use it sparingly I can really elevate a bland outfit into something interesting. when you take the jacket off this cute half shirt is also shoulder bearing, and looks demure yet coquettish paired with a midi pleated skirt. Use strip lashes and a hot pink or red lip for a punch of colour and sass.

Layers n’ Leopard

I love fall fashion for the simple fact that you can create super interesting looks by layering. This long thin weight vest provides an elongating look that really pulls it altogether to a simple skinny Jean and print top. My love for hats continues, and this faux suede hat provide some colour variation that still goes with the outfit and provides a great contrast for my medium brown hair.  As per usual this is a slightly trendy look that won’t break the bank, if you don’t already shop at Ardene you are missing out on great low cost, of the moment fashion pieces that helped to bring classic looks to life and stay relevant.

Whimsical Print

I always gravitate towards a whimsical print; whether it’s birds, flowers, cats, butterflies, you name it! I think it creates such visual interest in an unusual way that really elevates your look from bland and boring to outstanding. I found this dress at Winners and fell in love with the 1970s vibe of it, the pleated mid length skirt is on trend for this season and I love the bowtie.

Pairing this unusual dress like this with more classic pieces like a Moto jacket and booties help to ground the look and bring it from looking like you’re dressing up in a 1970s look to current and fabulous.

Fall Floral Skirt- 2 looks

Finding a signature piece like this fall floral skirt from French Connection is so fabulous as it can be worn in many ways, dressed up or dressed down… it’s equally as cute. I’ve shown it as a daytime look for a casual work environment and for a night on the town with a deep plunging V-neck bodysuit and sexy strap up heels will make you feel and look like 1 million bucks!
